MOLLIE PALUMBO, DAUTHER OF ANTHONY MANCUSO AND LUCY CEFOLA WAS BORN ON DECEMBER 8, 1910 IN NY,NY.
SHE LIVED ACROSS THE STREET FROM P.S. 78 (NOW P.S.206) IN WHAT IS NOW CALLED EAST HARLEM.
HER MOTHER WAS VERY ACTIVE IN THE P.T.A. IN THAT SCHOOL.

WHEN SHE RETURNED TO TEACHING AFTER HER MARRIAGE, SHE TAUGHT IN THAT VERY SCHOOL AND LOVED HER TIME THERE. SHE WAS VERY PROUD TO BE A TEACHER. SHE WAS A DILIIGENT EDUCATOR AND MENTOR TO MANY AND CONTINUED IN HER QUEST AS A LIFE-LONG LEARNER.

SHE WAS A COMMUNICANT OF ST. BENEDICT'S PARISH AND WAS THE LEADER OF GIRL SCOUT TROUP 181.

AFTER HER HUSBAND PASSED AWAY, SHE MOVED TO FLORIDA AND WAS INVOLVED IN MANY COMMUNITY AND CULTURAL ENDEAVORS.

MOLLIE WAS ON THE INITIAL BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF HER HOMEOWNERS' ASSOCIATION AS THEY TOOK
OVER OWNERSHIP FROM A MAJOR CORPORATION. WHILE IN FLORIDA SHE VOLUNTEERED AT THE COMMUNITY CENTER, HELPED OUT AT A SOUP KITCHEN, ASSISTED IN A CONVALESCENT HOME, PARTICIPATED ON THE BOARD OF THE DEBORAH HEART ASSOCIATION, BECAME A CO-LEADER OF A BIBLE STUDY GROUP, TAUGHT RELIGIOUS SCHOOL FOR SIX YEARS AND WAS A MEMBER OF THE CATHOLIC DAUGHTERS AT ST. RAPHAEL'S PARISH IN LEHIGH ACRES.

FRIENDLY, WITH AN UPBEAT PERSONALITY AND ENERGETIC NATURE, MOLLIE WAS AN AVID WALKER, OFTEN REFUSING LIFTS FROM NEIGHBORS AS SHE WALKED TO THE GROCERY STORE.

SHE CONTINUED HER LOVE OF LEARNING, PICKING UP BOOKS ON LATIN AND ITALIAN AND ABRAHAM LINCOLN.

SHE WAS PREDECEASED BY HER HUSBAND FRANK, PROPRIETOR OF G. PALUMBO AND SONS MONUMENTS IN THE BRONX; BY BROTHER FERDINAND MANCUSO, ESQ; SISTERS MARIE ROMANIELLO, ANNA ZECCA AND ADELE PERROTTA; UNCLE THE HONORABLE FRANCIS X. MANCUSO.

SHE LEAVES TO MOURN HER PASSING BY DAUGHTER, LUCILLE BARTOLOMO OF ARIZONA AND SON, GUY PALUMBO OF NY, DEVOTED GRANDDAUGHTER, CHRISTINE CRAIG AND GRANDSON, GUY PALUMBO BOTH OF WASHINGTON STATE; SPECIAL SON-IN-LAW, ROBERT AND DEVOTED DAUGHTER-IN-LAW, ANN. MOLLIE ALSO LEAVES BEHIND SEVEN GRANDCHILDREN: EMMA, MOLLY, GUY 111, MORGAN, AUTUMN, CATHERINE AND HENRY. ALL HAVE BLESSED MOLLIE WITH MUCH LOVE, CARE AND DEVOTION TO "NONNA."

MOLLIE PASSED AWAY PEACEFULLY ON NOVEMBER 26, 2017 WITH HER SON BY HER SIDE IN SEATTLE, WASHINGTON WHERE SHE HAD BEEN LIVING FOR THE PAST ELEVEN YEARS.

FUNERAL ARRANGEMENTS ARE CONDUCTED BY JOHN DORMI & SONS FUNERAL HOME, 1121 MORRIS PARK AVENUE IN THE BRONX, NY. VISITATIONS ARE FRIDAY, DECEMBER 2ND AT 2:00P.M. TO 4:00 P.M. AND AT 7:00 P.M. TO 9:00 P.M.

A MASS OF CHRISTIAN BURIAL WILL BE HELD SATURDAY AT ST. BENEDICT'S CHURCH, 2969 OTIS AVENUE IN THE BRONX AT 10:15 A.M. FOLLOWED BY BURIAL AT CALVERY CEMETERY, IN WOODSIDE, NY (QUEENS).

IN LIEU OF FLOWERS, THE FAMILY HAS SUGGESTED CONTRIBUTIONS TO CALVERY HOSPITAL, 1740 EASTCHESTER RD., BRONX, NY 10461, EARMARKED "CALVARY FUND."

THIS WAS A SPECIAL LADY AND MOLLIE'S LIFE WAS TRULY A LIFE WELL-LED, FRIENDLY, WITH AN UPBEAT PERSONALITY
